ผมได้รับคัดเลือกเป็น 1 ใน 150 ศิลปินไทยและต่างชาติ ร่วมแสดงงานใน Bangkok Illustration Fair 2023 งานใหญ่ประจำปีของนักวาดเลย คนสมัครเข้ามากว่า 700 คน งานสวยทุกคน (เข้าไปคลิกดูในเว็บกันได้) แต่คิดว่าที่ได้รับคัดเลือกเพราะผู้จัดคงอยากได้งานหลายรูปแบบ คนวาดดูเดิ้ลยังไม่ค่อยเยอะเท่าไหร่เลยเข้ารอบ น่าตื่นเต้นที่จะได้รู้จักพี่ๆ นักวาดคนอื่นด้วย

I have been selected as one of the 150 Thai and international artists to participate in the Bangkok Illustration Fair 2023. This annual event is a significant gathering for artists, with over 700 applicants this year. The quality of the artworks is impressive, and you can check them out on the website. I believe I was chosen because the organizers aim to showcase a diverse range of artworks, and there weren’t as many doodle artists in the selection rounds. I’m excited to meet and connect with other talented artists at the event.

ปกติจะไม่ค่อยมีเวลาเอางานวาดดูเดิ้ลมาทำสินค้าขาย แต่งาน Bangkok Illustration Fair นี้ ผมตั้งใจทำมาหลายชิ้นเลย เพราะบรรยากาศงานคือ Art Market ที่ใหญ่มากในรอบปี ชิ้นแรกนี่เป็นโปสเตอร์ Doodle Da Vinci ขนาด 60×90 ซม. พิมพ์ offset สี่สีบนกระดาษอาร์ต ถ้าเอาไปใส่กรอบติดกำแพงจะยืนดูคาแรกเตอร์ในรูปเพลินเลย ตรวจสีหน้าแท่นพิมพ์จนถูกใจแล้วถึงม้วนใส่กระบอก รอคนมารับไปอยู่ด้วย

Normally, I don’t often have time to turn my doodles into merchandise for sale. However, for the upcoming Bangkok Illustration Fair, I’ve dedicated myself to creating several pieces because it’s a massive Art Market event of the year. The first piece is a 60×90 cm offset-printed Doodle Da Vinci poster on art paper. If framed and hung on the wall, it stands out as a captivating centerpiece. I meticulously checked the color on the printing press until I was satisfied, and now it’s rolled up and ready for visitors to take home and enjoy.

ส่วนอันนี้เป็นโปสการ์ด 5″ x 7″ ถ้าเป็นงานวาดมือลงสีมาร์กเกอร์ จะพิมพ์ลงบนกระดาษทินโทเร็ตโต้ เทียบต้นฉบับภาพ Fun Flower กับงานพิมพ์จะเห็นว่าเก็บน้ำหนักสีได้ใกล้เคียงเลยครับ ส่วนงานวาดดิจิตัลผมใช้กระดาษอาร์ต 260 แกรม เส้นกับสีชัดเป๊ะ ปรับสีกันหน้าเครื่องพิมพ์เลย นอกจากนี้ยังมี Art Print ขนาด A3 และ A4 ด้วยนะครับ

These are 5″ x 7″ postcards. If it’s a hand-drawn and marker-colored artwork, it will be printed on Tintoretto textured art paper. Comparing the original Fun Flower image with the print, you’ll notice that the color reproduction is quite accurate. As for digital drawings, I use 260gsm art paper for its thickness and vibrant colors. The print quality is finely tuned to match the on-screen appearance. Additionally, Art Prints in A3 and A4 sizes are also available.

Stickers are a must! Introducing The Space Elder, a tribe of elderly beings aged 2000 years, each with unique skills corresponding to different planets in the galaxy. Designing just 100 characters wasn’t enough for me. I dedicatedly crafted a package that’s not only limited to stickers but also serves as a collectible. You can stick them on your notebook or fridge for a touch of cosmic charm. The grand debut will take place at the Bangkok Illustrator Fair 2023. Don’t miss it!
